Decaffeinated coffee

For coffee lovers who prefer decaffeinated coffee, we also offer some premium varieties of coffee from different countries, which are produced using the Swiss Water Process® - a method of caffeine extraction using water, rather than harmful solvents. In this process, only coffee beans and heated pure water are used. This process was introduced in the early 20th century, but was modernized in 2007 and is still used today, allowing for the removal of up to 99.9% of caffeine, which has a stimulating effect on the human body.

How does it work?

Coffee beans are soaked in pure water, and the so-called "Green Coffee Extract" is extracted from the beans into the water. This solution is then passed through filters, purified of caffeine, and then, once purified, returned to the coffee beans. The process continues for ten hours. Some prefer a blend of half decaffeinated coffee with caffeinated coffee, which allows for a reduction in the percentage of caffeine while preserving the aroma of the coffee.
